Building an HR infrastructure from the ground up with ChartHop
Led a complete HR digital transformation at MillerClapperton, building the company's HR infrastructure from scratch. When I joined in January 2024, the organization had no HRIS system, no structured onboarding process, no employee engagement measurement, and no performance management system. Through strategic platform selection, meticulous implementation, and comprehensive change management, I successfully deployed ChartHop as the company's complete HR platform within just three months, establishing a foundation for data-driven people management.
MillerClapperton had zero HR technology infrastructure—no centralized system for employee data, onboarding, engagement measurement, or performance reviews. All HR processes were manual, scattered across spreadsheets and email. The challenge was multifaceted: conduct a thorough needs analysis, evaluate and select the right HRIS platform from numerous vendors, implement it rapidly working essentially solo, build trust with a skeptical employee base, and establish entirely new HR processes including the company's first-ever engagement survey and performance review cycle—all within a 12-month timeframe.
Conducted comprehensive needs analysis, evaluated multiple HRIS vendors, selected ChartHop, and rolled out the complete system by April 2024. Working alone with ChartHop's implementation team, I configured the platform, migrated all employee data, built organizational structures, and trained the entire workforce on the new system in just three months.
Created, programmed, and launched the company's inaugural employee engagement survey. Overcame significant trust concerns with both employees and leadership to achieve an exceptional 80% participation rate. Developed custom dashboards and calculated eNPS scores to identify organizational strengths and weaknesses, then presented comprehensive results to employees at the annual conference and to leadership for strategic planning.
Collaborated with ChartHop to establish a full bidirectional data exchange between MillerClapperton's payroll platform and ChartHop, ensuring all employee changes and complete historical data flowed seamlessly into the system. Built executive dashboards providing real-time visibility into critical metrics including turnover rates, time-to-fill for open positions, and performance trends.
Partnered with leadership to design the company's first-ever performance review format and process. Programmed the complete review template into ChartHop, developed comprehensive training materials, conducted training sessions for all employees and managers, and successfully orchestrated the rollout of the company's inaugural performance review cycle.
